The best way to fly to Asia and in Thailand especially, it is doing it with the national airline, the Thai Airways. I must say that I found myself very well with the ground assistants who immediately sent me serenity and welcomed me and my family in the best possible way.
The flight lasted around 10 hours, but between a meal and a movie, a game and a sleep, I would say that the time has passed very well. Thai Airways flights to Bangkok depart both Barcelona and from Madrid e they are direct. The convenience of having no stopovers to visit Thailand is one of the advantages for which I recommend choosing this airline. Those who have children will appreciate the fact of not making stopovers, but of leaving and landing in a single plane flight.
We left Madrid, boarded at about 13.30pm and our flight left at 14pm. Having a child less than 2 years old, we had the opportunity to have seats in the first row, the first seats after the area reserved for business seats, which are wider because they have more space available for the legs, but also for the child to play.
Thai Airways flights do not provide a seat belt for children, but it is necessary both at take off and during landing, to hold them tightly in your arms. When it is possible to unfasten the seat belts, the child can get out and play, eat or watch a movie.
What surprised me positively is that unlike other airlines, Thai does not offer simple headphones to listen to movies, but comfortable headphones, also suitable for children (we, not knowing it, had brought some headphones from home especially for the little one).
- movie lovers they can count on a good amount of movies, freshly released and classic, almost all in English, but some also in your language. For children, equally, there is plenty of choice. Lots of cartoons, animated films, games and music. It is possible to consult the map and the flight plan at any time, as well as to see the distances in km and hours that separate the destination.
Thai Airway also offers vegetarian meals, which I tried in flight, deliciously spicy (if you are not a lover of spicy, tell him right away, but in Thailand it is not easy to find absolutely non-spicy things). The meals were interesting and valid, we immediately had an idea of what we would eat once we reached our destination. The breakfast instead was sweet and salty, therefore varied and for all tastes, with a salty butter to lick your lips.
Once we arrived at our destination, we got off the plane regardless of still having the travel cover on, so much so that the flight attendants had to remind us that we had to leave it on the plane: what a figure! We we felt completely at ease, we hadn't even slept at home.
