It's been a few years now that the Proloco of Verona organize a suggestive end of year dinner inside various city monuments. For the last night of 2012 the event will take place in the salons of Porta Palio, a Renaissance masterpiece that is part of the city defensive walls, which can be visited entirely with a guided tour during dinner.
La location it is in an excellent position to be reached both by car, having a very large free parking adjacent, and by train, being a ten-minute walk from the station. Another 10 minutes on foot and you reach the monumental area of Castelvecchio and Sand.
Il menu ranges between traditional dishes and local products: from horse rags to famous ones tortellini from Valeggio, from Veronese radicchio accompanied by Monte delle Lessinia cheese, from braised amarone al Romeo and Juliet semifreddo, a rich menu that will be served at 20.30, including water, wine and digestive, all for the very reasonable amount of 52 € to person.
