TalkTalkBnb is a social network born in 2016 that connects those who cannot travel but want to learn a language, and those who want to travel and can teach a language, but without spending a euro.
Launched in March 2016 by the French entrepreneur Hubert Laurent, TalkTalkBnb is a collaborative platform and avant-garde on the issues of travel, alternative tourism, language learning and cultural relations between the various countries.
For the realization and evolution of the project Hubert made use of the precious collaboration of University students of international origin, who thanks to their native language skills have contributed significantly to the translation of the site and to the communication with the various countries, thus procuring a large number of subscribers to the platform and allowing ever wider cultural exchanges.
The idea of creating this innovative social networks was born entirely by chance from a conversation in the family: one evening, sitting at the table during dinner, Noèmie, Hubert's sixteen-year-old daughter and passionate about languages, proposes to her father to leave together and live for a year in London, so as to learn and practice English. The idea is brilliant, but very expensive; Furthermore, it is not easy for Hubert to leave his activities, work, home and friends. And here the two, together, try to find a solution that fully satisfies their desire without having to move from home or spend a lot of money ... Thus they give life to TalkTalkBnb!
How does it work?
The site www.TalkTalkBnb.com offers the possibility of stay for free with local inhabitants from all over the world, returning hospitality with hours of conversation in your mother tongue. The aim is to put people in contact hosts, people who want to learn / practice languages, with cosmopolitan travelers always looking for new adventures and with a great passion for travel, thus creating a large international community.
The use of the platform for the traveler means a free accommodation, home-cooked meals, contact with the locals and lots of advice on what to visit; the host instead has the extraordinary opportunity to put into practice a foreign language directly and comfortably at home, in an informal and relaxed atmosphere, but in a very effective and useful way, thus avoiding spending a lot of money on summer courses or study holidays.
