A Skansen, on the island of Djurgarden a Stockholm, there is the largest open-air museum in the world. Founded in 1891 to preserve society on this island, before the industrial era ruined it. In addition to the oldest open-air museum in the world, the wonderful Stockholm zoo, two activities that are therefore great to do with the family or with children.
Here we still live as in the early 900s and craftsmanship and Swedish traditions they are shown to tourists who meet here every year to learn more about the origins of this country. Among the laboratories of glass blowing, the metalworking and the ancient bakeries it is possible to walk around the island, from the main square, Bollnastorget, up to the eighteenth-century church, Skogaholm.
