A Youth Hostel suitable for all age groups: read, in the post, where to sleep in Innsbruck to save while maintaining comfort and convenience.
Innsbruck is a city full of life, with many things to see, close to Italy, with respectable mountains 15 minutes from the historic center. Why not consider it, even just for a city break? If you choose it, the right address for sleep low cost è Jugendherberge Innsbruck. The word Jugendherberge means nothing more than a youth hostel, a dignified and truly economical solution to stay overnight in the city.
The Innsbruck Hostel
What I'm talking about is in Reichenauer Strasse, along the Inn, the river that gives the city its name; 20 minutes walk from the historic center, it is also very well connected with the O bus line which passes a few meters from the train station and has a stop in front of the entrance which is called, precisely, Jugendherberge.
If the word "youth" makes you feel out of target, I would like to reassure you: guests range from families with children to senior groups, from sports teams to pairs of walkers who already have mountain shoes on their feet for breakfast.
The rooms and services
This is the classic hostel with the choice of multi-bed, double or single rooms.
The bedrooms are spartan, but equipped with everything you need: private bathroom, wardrobe, heating for the harsh winters. I was there in this very hot summer even in the Alps, there is no air conditioning but thefresh mountain air that the night falls pleasantly if one has the foresight to leave the window open.
The fee per person includes Bed linen and towels - which is delivered in hand at the time of check in and must be returned at the time of check out - and a rich breakfast. In fact, in the morning at guests' disposal there is a buffet with fruit juices, coffee or tea, yogurt, cereals, fresh fruit, bread (both wholemeal and Semmel white) to be accompanied with cheese, cold cuts, butter, jam or honey.
Reception services
Also interesting is the presence of Wireless free throughout the hotel, ample parking for cars or buses in the case of groups, common areas equipped to cook the evening meal independently, to spend time playing, watching TV, listening to music or chatting. The reception is well stocked with tourist brochures, maps of the area, and sells Innsbruck Card, the tourist card declined in three different durations: 24 - 48 or 72 hours.
It is a very useful tool for visiting the city, using all means of transport - including the ski lifts - and free access to places of interest.
At the hostel reception, the Card can only be paid in cash, as well as the stay.
A low cost solution
And so let's see i prices of overnight stays.
For a bed in multiple room (six beds) you pay 25 euros the first night, 22,50 euros the following nights; for a seat bed in multiple room (four beds) you pay 27 euros for the first night, 24,50 for the following nights.
La double room is 32 euros per person; there Single 41 euro per person.
As I have already said linen and breakfast are included. There is a luggage storage service waiting to leave.
