The Paris Metro has 11 lines and the single ticket for a ride it costs 1,50€, while the 10 booklet, very affordable, costs 11,10 euros.
With the Paris Visite Card, dedicated to tourists and to those who intend to stop a few more days to admire the city, there are reductions depending on the area in which they "circulate". Zone 1-3 has a daily cost of € 8,50, for 2 days the cost is € 13,95, 3 days, € 18,60 and 5 days, € 27,20. The area that goes from 1 to 6 has a daily cost of € 17,05, for 2 days € 27,15, 3 days € 38,10 and 5 days € 46,60.
To be clear, zone 1 and 2 is really big and during your stays it will be difficult to go further, it includes the whole center of Paris, in zone 4 you will findOrly and Versailles airport, while zone 5 includes Eurodisney for those traveling with children.

The subway in Paris comes in function every morning at 5.30 and closes on Saturdays and days before holidays at 1.30 at night, the other evenings at 00.30.
When the subway closes and you don't know how to get home anymore, you can always rely on Noctilien bus, or also called night buses. The 42 buses run from 00.30 until 5.30 in the morning and essentially cover the hours in which the metro is closed. The cost of a ride is 1,50 euros and all cards can be used for the ride. Buses gravitate to 5 main stations in Paris: Gare de Lyon, Gare de l'Est, Gare Saint-Lazare, Gare Montparnasse, Châtelet.
