If there's one thing I've always wanted to do, it's to spend a holiday in the countryside, in Tuscany. I love those atmospheres from "I dance alone" (a beautiful film by Bertolucci that I recommend you see if you haven't done it yet!), the Chianti hills, the sunsets over the vineyards, the ears of corn that ignite with the sunlight and the relaxing tranquility of the countryside. But Tuscany, like many other Italian regions, can really become a furnace in the summer and I would never give up a nice swimming pool. In this place I spent a wonderful weekend in July a few years ago and I would go back tomorrow !! More than agritourism, here we are talking about nothing less than an entire medieval village complete with a castle overlooking the Sienese hills. The apartments available to guests have been obtained from the old farmhouses, once used for agricultural purposes, and now perfectly restored. The houses are located all around the castle, within a radius of more or less a kilometer. Inside the castle are the restaurant and the various halls that they use for special events.
