When you think of the Apulia the beautiful sea and fabulous food immediately come to mind. One of the less frequent mental associations is that with the Christmas. Instead, you should plan a trip even during the holiday season. There is, in particular, a city in the province of Bari which offers a calendar full of events: Conversano. The events and attractions are organized and desired by city associations to animate the center and promote the area. I'll list them below.
Ice-skating: In Villa Belvedere from 7 December to 13 January there will be an ice rink for the first time. Guaranteed fun for young and old.
Christmas in the Cloisters: Lovers of the crib? The nativity scenes will be displayed every Sunday from 8 December to 6 January in the former Monastery of Santa Chiara. Workshops will be organized to learn how to build one at home. From 18 to 20 pm you can also visit the 700th century crib of the San Cosma Monastery.
Sweet Christmas: On 15 and 16 December Villa Garibaldi will host this gastronomic fair. There will be entertainment for children, live music, cabaret and Christmas markets. Shopping and fun will be the watchwords of the weekend.
Christmas in the square: Another occasion for aggregation and celebration will be offered by this event. Four evenings, those of 7-14-21-28 December, with street artists and Christmas markets to liven up the center and traditional Apulian Christmas dishes and sweets to pamper yourself and not stay on a diet.
The Christmas Village: Until January 6 at the Vivai Giannini you can completely immerse yourself in the Christmas spirit thanks to a path made of lights, sounds and sensations. Children will be happy when they meet Santa Claus and when a big tree will tell them a Christmas fairy tale. In the meantime, you can buy gifts, decorations, objects for the nativity scene and for the home, and taste the excellent dishes typical of Puglia.
I just have to say have fun!
