When we say "There is no more religion" one thinks of the crib as something sacred, angelic. Nativity is peace. Or not?! Along the Amalfi coast, on the Amalfi road that gives fury leads to Praiano, is the "Devil's cave”Which, looking at it, is actually a bit scary, above all because of the rocky claws that break out of the rock and reach almost human height.
Who could ever imagine a nativity scene inside the cave that bears the name and the devil's claws? Nobody? Oh no, he imagined it Michele Castellano, local artist-craftsman who, respecting spaces and perspectives, has reproduced inside this cave a miniature of the village of Praiano with the church and the houses and the streets and the sea ... almost a three-dimensional map, to anticipate everything what the hamlet can offer us.

Praiano is the typical hamlet of the coast, with the narrow streets, the sea a few steps away, the small beaches, the colored houses, the domes and the colored spiers of the churches, the smell of summer even in April. Ideal for those who want to get away from the chaos and confusion for a few hours to breathe a bit of silence between glimpses of architectural art on a human scale.
