Le busiate are a type of typically Sicilian pasta and for the accuracy of Trapani area. The appearance is long, as if they were passatelli but the pasta is rolled up on itself, in short, a fun shape to see that gives way to goodness when you taste it.
I tasted it at the Taverna Paradiso in Trapani is on the Dante Alighieri seafront, 22. A very nice place that has tables outside, even if a little on the street, and inside, in several very nice and well-kept rooms. Only regret, not having been able to try the couscous :( but I hope there will be a second chance :)
I think I have tasted the busiate in their most classic form and that is with eggplant and swordfish, typical fish of these seas. Tomato and toast served as a side dish. A real treat. In this restaurant, in addition to the busiate dish, I also tasted afresh fish salad it's a frying... I have to tell the truth I barely tasted the fry ... I was full.
Excellent dinner, price not entirely low cost, a nice one € 35 per person, bottle of wine and water included of course. But removing the frying, which was just one more thing, the price goes down and for once, we are all on vacation sooner or later in life :)
