The Caldo Freddo ice cream of San Vito lo Capo is a noteworthy specialty. Not as famous as fish couscous, but just as tasty. In San Vito you can find it in different places and you can only adore it.
This thing is a real pleasure, I must tell you. The ice cream Hot Cold it is something that is frequently found in the Trapani area and I tried it in San Vito Lo Capo, specifically al Le Sirene Bar which is right in front of the sea. Ice cream was born in Years' 50 and it can be requested in different flavors.
I warn you that after you have tried this ice cream, which I would call more than ice cream calorie bomb, you will not have the strength to do anything more, except lie down in the sun and never move again :)
How to prepare it and then here's what you are going to eat. Inside the ice cream is one layer of sponge cake soaked in liquor, lots of it whipped Cream ee abundant melted chocolate (hot) above. This is what you always find. What you can vary instead is the taste of the ice cream all around. I chose hazelnut and shred it but they say pistachio is also very good.
