You know Villafranca di Verona? This Christmas could be an excellent opportunity to discover this elegant country that revolves around its splendid castle. In fact, on the occasion of the holidays, Villafranca has planned a month of initiatives entirely dedicated to magic Christmas time.
Every weekend from 1 December to 6 January in Piazza Giovanni XXIII you can enjoy the warm atmosphere of Christmas Village. Visitors to the classic wooden houses will be able to taste typical products such as the famous sfogliatine al recioto typical of this country, bortolin pasta, pasta and beans, but also products from Trentino, Piedmont and sweets of all kinds. Furthermore, from 19 to 24 December, it will be set up in via Pace la 27th Christmas Fair: an entire street dedicated to Christmas shopping.
Absolutely not to be missed then is the skating ring on the ice, open every day, set up inside the beautiful Scaligero Castle.
To accompany the event a really fun event to attend and open to all those who want to participate: The parade of Santas on motorcycles. In fact, on Saturday 15 December, motorcycling lovers will be able to participate in the 15 edition The numerous motorcyclists, all dressed as Santa Claus, will leave from Villafranca and reach Verona, with a stop in Povegliano Veronese.
At the end of the path in Piazza Bra a concert ("Ladies From Hells" and "Manuels The Doors Tribute Band"). and a fundraiser will be organized, the proceeds of which will go to the non-profit association “Opero Silente”.
