Il Turin Cinema Museum is quite famous, obviously not only in the city, but in Italy also because every year the Torino Film Festival (and not only).
The museum, not a real museum in reality but full of activity and interesting routes, is housed within the Mole and this already says a lot, you can in fact kill two birds with one stone by visiting one and the other at the same time.
Upon entering, I recommend going directly to thelift which leads to the top floor of the Mole, especially if there is no queue, and thus directly enjoy the view of one Beautiful Turin from above. The lift takes less than a minute to do 167 meters and it is all glass so from the first impact you can immediately have an idea of what awaits you when visiting the Cinema Museum as the lift is inside the structure.
Going back down, always with the elevator, you can proceed to visit normal museum. The plans are different, we start with the archeology of cinema, up to history, the first shorts and the golden years of cinema, the star, the characters up to the present day. The feature of this museum is that it is all a lot Interactive, explained, illustrated and above all visual. If you want, you could stay there for 5 hours because there are many things to see and do, especially to try. At the end of the visit, which can be done independently or by taking a separate guide, you will arrive inside the Mole, in the heart, where there are many cinema seats, almost deck chairs and projections of historical films that go on continuously. For movie fans a real paradise.
On the ground floor there is also a bar very nice in which to meet and even one shop to buy books and peculiarities on history and beyond.
The Cinema Museum remains closed on Mondays, the other days it is open from 9 to 20 from Tuesday to Friday and Sunday, until 23 on Saturday. The elevator respects the same times and days with the difference that it opens at 10. The museum, full ticket, has a cost of € 7 while the lift of € 5 if taken together instead has a cost of € 9. Obviously there are discounts for students and groups, but you can find everything in the detail of the Museum of Cinema website.
