I've spent the last four days in Milan fair in Rhò. As always, especially in this period, the weather was beautiful… gray skies and rain. Anyway, I was supposed to be at the fair and we pretended we were in the Bahamas. Having said that, since Fieramilano has existed, hotels have sprung up like mushrooms and prices are often not affordable and cheap, especially if they know you have to attend some trade fair event.
Having the need to be as close as possible (so to speak) to the fair, we finally found the Domina Inn Milan Fair a Novate Milanese, after removing several other hotels from the list. The hotel opened in 2009 and it is evident that it is frequented exclusively by furious groups of foreigners ready to go shopping in Milan and exhibitors at the fair. There breakfast it definitely is international, and every morning my Indian neighbor with mustache and turban was full of scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage, white bread and salami. I went on the classic cappuccino and brioche. What I can't stand is the cappuccino from the machines in the breakfast room and so I had to ask the staff. Obviously uht milk, long-life.
However the variations for a breakfast were many between fruit, different types of cold cuts, cheeses, yogurt and more. The room, a double for single use, was really comfortable. The corridors unfortunately abounded in anthracite color and were quite dark. All in all a good hotel for those who, like me, are often in Rhò at the fair and must combine an honest price and proximity to the fairgrounds. I often 75 euro per night, b & b treatment. Last thing, bring the navigator… Although it is 10 minutes from the fair. Getting lost in the tangle of streets is very easy.
