On 2 November for the first time I went to eat inside one of the Eataly created by Oscar Farinetti. I had opportunities for example in Rome, but in the end the opportunity arose at Genoa .
If you have been to Genoa you will know that Eataly is located on the top floor of a building (Millo Porto Antico) halfway between the Genoa aquarium and the city of children. The position is therefore strategic both for those who leave the aquarium pavilions and for those who descend from the carrugi (alleys) of the old city of Genoa.
A single lift will transport you to the top floor of the building and arm yourself with patience when you come across busy days like it was for me during the weekend of the Saints.
Once inside, a world of gastronomic delights and delicacies will open up to you. I guarantee you that it was not easy to keep your hands in check, in fact the risk is to fill the cart with a record final bill.
Apart from this, Eataly it has many tables where you can sit and eat, all exposed towards the only large window that overlooks the old port of Genoa. Inside you will find a series of restaurants where you can also eat on comfortable high stools and observe the preparation of the dishes a few centimeters from you. Each session corresponds to a number and you pay before being served.
The Eataly in Genoa develops like a long rectangle and once inside you cannot help but notice the infinite series of shelves full of gastronomic excellence. To eat I chose a seafood dish, or linguine (pasta from Grignano) with amberjack and tomato sauce and a glass of Vermentino. The dish was really good and the final expense was modest, considering that you are still at Eataly.
