Sunny Sunday and so we decide to head for lunch in the area of roncofreddo, more precisely in Ardiano. Here there is a farm managed by the Dall'Ara brothers who, one day, decided to make a change to their farm.
Getting there was not easy, also because navigators are useless when traveling through the endless streets of the Cesena hinterland. However, following the directions from Rimini on the via Emilia (SS9) for Calisese and Roncofreddo we have reached the destination. The landscape was a spectacle, thanks to the flowering of hectares and hectares of peach orchards that surround the road up to the junction for Monteleone and Ardiano.
Local cuisine, of course, and wine of own production (but on this it is better to spread a veil). In some places the road climbs to the point that the slope reaches 15% (cyclists know what that means ...), but although it is not really easy to get there, the place was definitely packed. Outside there is also a swimming pool and a splendid terrace for summer meals.
We understand why to go there. The view is breathtaking as it allows you to wander from the castle of Smile, in front of the farm, to the sea on the clearest days. I can only imagine what it can be to look at the coast lit up at night. Then the eating. Appetizers of the house like local cured meats e stuffed bruschetta, bis of first with tortellacci stuffed with herbs with pit cheese e tagliatelle with ragu, grilled of mixed meat e guinea fowl, various side dishes (gratin as if it were raining) with the inevitable piadina, a mixture of desserts (the zuppa inglese is an exciting choice), coffee and "killer coffee" (nocino).
Spending each? 18 €. Definitely little, calculate the quantities brought to the table and the excellent quality of the product. The wine, I repeat, is of their production. Avoid asking for the wine list, as I did. There is not.
A tip: book well in advance. I was lucky enough to find a place.
