Valuing our places of the heart, those of our childhood or those closest to us until November 30, 2014 is possible. Thanks to FAI, the Italian Environment Fund.
Each of us has in his own city, but also in his heart a place to which he is sentimentally attached, a place that perhaps is not in great shape at the moment. Thinking about this and what the FAI is doing for our places of the heart, I would say that perhaps this activity falls just right.
Il Italian Environment Fund has launched a beautiful initiative in which he asks to vote for their favorite places to proceed with the restoration and recovery of the assets we love most.
The places should not necessarily be places that are already among the sites protected by the FAI, but rather it is even better to find some places dear to us and valuable that can be restored and rehabilitated.
The idea is to make a small census of the places in Italy thanks to the active participation of all citizens. Each registered place can be voted by all those who want to support it. The more votes a place gets, the more it will have a chance to be protected. In fact, the first three classified assets will automatically obtain the intervention of the Foundation. Thanks to the success of the previous editions, the FAI, this year, also gives a chance to all those places that they have obtained by 30 November 2014 at least 1000 votes from users.
These assets may submit a request for intervention to the FAI for a specific recovery, protection or enhancement project according to the guidelines that will be released in 2015, after the announcement of the official results of the projects that will receive the intervention.
