Puok Burger Store at Vomero, the American fast food in Naples that prepares excellent burgers and sandwiches. Not a place, but one of the most loved and followed street food in the whole of Campania, read the review.
Many were already following him on his blog: "The culinary adventures of Puok and Med".
On the pages of the website, Egidio Cerrone told of his caloric feats with photos and videos of the best pubs and pizzerias tried in Naples and its province. And so, making thousands of followers dream with their mouth watering, it had already gained a certain notoriety in the field of "food".
From there to the opening of a fast food restaurant, the step was short. And even in this case it was a success, as evidenced by the long lines that form every day at the entrance to the burger store in Via Cilea.
We are in Naples and in residential area of Vomero, Egidio Cerrone has decided to open his first “Puok” burger store. Here we certainly do not pay attention to calories or the figure.
What to eat at Puok Burger Store
On the menu there are only 6 sandwiches: Maestro Yoda, MammĂ , Django, Los Pollos, Nonna Assunta and Pulled Pork.
Among the main ingredients you will find certified Chianina burgers, Neapolitan meatballs, yellow chicken crispy chicken, bacon and pulled pork. All within two types of artisan bread: a fake American “bun” and a rosette.
Neapolitan street food in the true sense of the term. The restaurant is in fact designed to offer take-away food. Outside there is only a few tables to lean on but in any case it is preferable to take the sandwiches home because the lines crowd practically the entire outside sidewalk.
The model to which Puok Burger Store is based is a bit that of American street food, with the difference, however, that here the Neapolitan tradition is king.
In fact, typical dishes such as Eggplant Parmesan, the Neapolitan meatball and the delicious provolone. And the overseas bun is actually a bread made by a local bakery, which certainly does not imitate the American one.
For the most faithful to tradition there is also the handcrafted Neapolitan rosette, which goes perfectly with the greasy and rustic flavors of this quirky sandwich shop.
And to complete the menu, if the sandwich is not already caloric enough, try the delicious French fries. And even in this case, he did not save on oil and grease.
