Just take the car and go up a little in the internal streets a calenzano (Fi) that the temperature is already lowered enough to relax. That's why the Travalle pub, via di Maccia 10, is besieged by young people in the area, especially the Tuesday.
It's a Spartan place: wooden plank tables and benches inside, wooden tables and benches outside. Sitting by the stream that flows in front of you means listening to an all-night-long concert of croaking. Sip a glass of wine means inviting the midges to swim in it: you are not in Travalle if a beast does not commit suicide in your Chianti (with other drinks, I swear, it doesn't happen).
When a great alternative is available it is sangria, but it is especially for the food that it is worth going there. The choice is not vast: Tuscan appetizers, ficattole (fried pasta), bruschettoni, frittini; but everything is really very tasty. For a dinner for 2 is spent on average on € 20 in total and it must be borne in mind that the portions are really generous.
