The Santa Claus Village in Golfo Aranci
From 8 December to 6 January opens the Santa Claus Village with a long calendar of events and activities especially for children. In the center of the village, the Santa Claus house and the post office have been permanently set up, where children send letters with wishes to be found under the tree.
Santa's house opens every day from 16 to 20 pm with animations and creative workshops, elves, fairies and magical characters to entertain the little ones. There will be moments dedicated to reading the most famous fairy tales and shows with waders.
The village also hosts initiatives for the older ones: concerts, exhibitions, an artisan market and the opening of restaurants and shops in the small village.
A fixed event in the tourist programming of the country, which attracts especially the residents of nearby Olbia and the inland countries.
The magic of the historic center
Golfo Aranci is known for its fishy sea, in fact it was born as a fishing village, which then developed thanks to the connection activities and tourist activities.
The historic center remains unmistakable with the colorful fishermen's houses, to the narrow streets on the harbor and a pretty promenade. A marine environment therefore, a village full of shops, clubs and fish restaurants with tables practically on the water, which create a relaxed atmosphere in contrast with the comings and goings of those arriving or leaving with the ship.
The beaches of Golfo Aranci
Golfo Aranci is located at the base of the Capo Figari promontory and overlooks the northern part of the Gulf of Olbia. The coast is low and regular, where there are many beaches and coves.
From Golfo Aranci to Olbia there are more than twenty white beaches with fine sand and crystal clear sea. We find the wildest ones like Cala Moresca and Cala Greca or equipped, with shallow water and suitable for families, such as Cala Sassari, White Beach, Cala Banana and Sos Aranzos.
North of the promontory instead, towards the Gulf of Marinella, we find the homonymous beach and the small one Cala Sabina.
Spotting dolphins in Golfo Aranci
It also has a branch in Golfo Aranci the International Institute of Research applied to dolphins because, in these waters, a sedentary colony of these mammals lives, it is therefore easy to spot them from boats or from the coast.
A place to live in all seasons, thanks to the trekking paths on the Capo Figari promontory, to the boat excursions to the island of Tavolara or the islet of Figarolo, the archaeological sites such as the sacred well of Sa Testa.
