Despite the name that knows so much of "foreign", Hotel America is more familiar than ever, attached to traditions and family. The hotel is red, from a distance, crossing the Giardini Pubblici in front of the station and then turning right and taking via Torre Verde and walking a few steps, you will see it immediately. Red with lots of flags and a truly sumptuous entrance, complete with a red carpet.
Hotel America we said, but this hotel has nothing of an American, rather it has a familiarity and a familiarity confidentiality only. No ostentation, just a lot of professionalism. Upon arrival you will be greeted by the receptionist who will immediately give you the key to your room. In front of the reception the breakfast room, long and with a beautiful illuminated veranda, in the morning you will see how much light. The breakfast is both sweet and salty with many jams and different types of honey as only in Trentino they know how to do.
The rooms are soundproofed, with parquet in the sleeping area and a large bathroom just after the entrance. Large rooms with sofa and television, some also with terrace, table and chair for the milder days. I went when the weather did not allow too much, rain and snow alternated throughout my weekend, but in Trentino this is to be expected!
You will also find in your room a book that explains the history of the hotel. The author is the son of the owner, the current hotel manager who explains how the father, after being in America, brought his America to Trento by opening this beautiful hotel.
On the ground floor there is also a beautiful room with sofas and books, family photos on the walls for the most curious who want to deepen this pleasant story.
On leaving the hotel, walk about 200 meters on the left and then take the small road which is always on the left. You will arrive directly in the center without going through streets or traffic lights. A shortcut that I discovered almost immediately upon my arrival in Trento. In addition to the Hotel America in Trento I visited the Buonconsiglio Castle, ate at Forst Brewery and seen the very famous MUSE, the new science museum of the city of Trento. A weekend dedicated to taste, good food and also to discover places of art and culture.
