A few months ago my cousin, Yup just her, asked me for advice on where sleeping in Milan next to the station. Personally (and fortunately) in Milan I have always slept at home with friends, so I did the most sensible thing, I searched on Google.
What I found on Google in agreement with TripAdvisor and Google Images, what should never be underestimated is the Hotel Monopole which seemed enough to me economic, sweetie and close to the Station. Here is the judgment of Giulia.
THEMonopole Hotel of Milan is really convenient a stone's throw from the station, you cross Piazza XX novembre and remains on the right, very close. The staff is very available, someone perhaps not too smiling but still well disposed. The rooms are very small (at least mine) but definitely clean and neat. A bit disturbing is the ceiling with golden strips that reflect the image of the bed. Free internet with computer available on the first floor (but I didn't ask for the password because I didn't need it). There breakfast is included which I didn't do because I woke up just in time to get back on the train.
