On the occasion of the last edition of B&B day I took the opportunity to give myself a little vacation in my beloved Amalfi Coast, this fascinating if not extraordinary strip of Costa that enchants and surprises any visitor. Among the members of the initiative I choose The Sweet Sunset di Furore: to attract me not only the excellent reviews published on Tripadvisor, but also and above all because they do not offer a single room but an entire small apartment, complete with kitchen and living room.
Within half an hour I book: la owner, Maria, on the phone he is very friendly and helpful, features that will come out the next day too. In fact, as soon as we arrive, to welcome us with her there is also her husband with whom we exchange a chat and offer us a good coffee, distributing city maps, maps for tourist routes and some flyers with the best restaurants and pizzerias in the area.
The structure is a small two-storey building, immersed in the countryside but with one overlooking the coast: to the left Amalfi it is on the right Positano; nearby Li Galli, the small archipelogue of islets which according to ancient Greek mythology were inhabited by sensual sirens who bewitched the sailors.
Although there are only two of us we are given the apartment for four people called sunset: is the apartment located on the top floor and which, thanks to its terrace, enjoys a breathtaking view. Inside, in addition to the two bedrooms and the bathroom, we find a large kitchen living room equipped with all the useful equipment for any type of culinary tradition, a clear sign that it is a destination for international guests. Simplicity, functionality and cleanliness are evident in every detail of our apartment. Included in the price we also have parking available which in those areas is really worth gold. The total for two nights for two people is 140 euros but with the B&B day promotion it drops to 70 €.
The strategic position of the Dolce Tramonto allows us to reach it in just under an hour Amalfi, Ravello, Scala and Positano. The weekend ends without realizing it and we are so happy with this adventure that we promise to return as soon as possible to discover the further beauties of the Amalfi Coast.
