La Central Station of Naples has undergone numerous changes aimed at modernizing the entire railway structure; few people know that it is the oldest railway line in Italy: it was October 3, 1839 when the first Italian section, Naples-Portici, was inaugurated with a distance of just seven kilometers. The current station of the Campania capital not only hosts the national and local railway service, but also one shopping arcade for shopping or to sip a good coffee under the shadow of Vesuvius.
