Jenny's sushi wok: the name is already a declaration of intent! Within a few months, only a Rimini, two of these wok restaurants were born. But what exactly is it about?
They don't belong to a single chain, but they all look a bit alike; they take their name from the spherical and flared cast iron pan typical of oriental kitchens, but above all they are all based on the same concept: fixed price menu with open buffet.
Jenny's is no exception: € 12,90 for lunch, € 16,90 for dinner and weekends, unlimited buffet, drinks not included - it also says on the business card!
A wide dining room on the first floor of a recently built building with many windows overlooking the parallel to the seafront, two parallel benches full of every good thing and an open kitchen. You come in, sit down, order a drink and then grab a plate and start filling it. A sign advises customers not to overfill the plates, but to taste the dishes and then, perhaps, take another round - and wanting another and then another and another!
Spring rolls, fried crab claws, dragon clouds, shrimp rice noodles, soy noodles with vegetables, but also sweet-and-sour chicken, spicy pork and chicken with almonds ... and then sashimi and nighiri with all their sauces; but perhaps the most interesting thing is the possibility of choosing raw fish or meat and having it cooked on the spot.
Suitable for those who have so much hunger and few demands!
