Un travel weekend it almost always starts with the search for the hotel to stay well and possibly low cost. Where to look for the hotel for a trip to Sicily and specifically in Catania? We have tried the Katane Palace Hotel, a hotel in the heart of the Sicilian city that we liked very much and here we explain why.
The Katane Palace Hotel is located in Via Camillo Finocchiaro Aprile, a little outside the historic city center to be honest, but in an excellent position to reach it on foot by 10 minute walk. The Hotel has quite large and clean rooms, the bathroom has two sinks and the mini bar is free, with water, coke and orange soda, which with the Sicilian summer heat is not bad at all. The hall is large and at the entrance there is a long corridor with red armchairs that overlooks a patio where breakfast is served in the morning. In the cloister they are located saplings of orange trees and colorful flowers, a beautiful sight that puts you in a good mood not only when you enter the hotel but also when you have breakfast in the morning.
in rooms also television and a large terrace complete with chairs and tables. A large lift takes you to the floors, the corridors are quiet and well soundproofed. This is one of the qualities that I most appreciated in the hotel since it is not always easy to find hotels that offer this type of service which is fundamental for me.
Overall, my stay at the Katane Hotel went very well even though I only stayed one night to sleep in Catania. There breakfast in the morning it was both sweet and savory with yogurt and cereals, cakes and toast. I preferred the dessert even though I didn't like the plastic cups for fruit juices. The breakfast room in the evening becomes the location of an excellent restaurant where you can eat fish and meat and drink excellent Sicilian wine.
Speaking of prices, the Katane Palace is a 4 stars, not a completely low cost hotel therefore, we must admit it. Often, however, the Katane Palace Hotel on the site offers excellent prices and Offers especially if you book well in advance. Go see the site to believe;)
