News from my beloved Calabria, and I swear they are not from 'Ndrangheta, murdered deaths, scams & Co.
I am instead news of music and folklore. In case you are in Calabria between 21 and 25 August, take a trip to Caulonia (province of Reggio Calabria), where the popular music festival will take place Kaulonia Tarantella Festival.
The festival has existed since 1999, and was created to combine spectacular moments of the Calabrian tradition such as tarantella with his sounds and his gestures with seminars and moments of reflection on local culture.
Eugenio Bennato, Mimmo Cavallaro, Davide Van De Sfroos, Otello Profazio, NourEddine Zagora Moon, Teresa De Sio and Mimmo Epifani are just some of the guests of the Kaulonia Tarantella Festival, which has now become a "showcase" and a peak event of the movement linked to popular music that is exploding and depopulating in Calabria.
It is not as cool as the Apulian pizzica but it is still worth going there and then taking a stroll around it Little known and beautiful region.
