Eat well e low cost in the center of Firenze it's not really child's play: restaurateurs often take advantage of tourism to raise prices skyrocketing. Yesterday, recommended by a friend, I went for lunch with some friends in The Manger, a place near Piazza Pitti, which looks like a rotisserie from the outside.
In fact, entering the counter with the take away products it fills the first room and only stools allow those who want to enjoy their meal on the spot to sit down to eat comfortably. Continuing along a corridor, you arrive at the rooms of the restaurant itself: quite spartan, but still nice with the paintings of images of Florence on the walls.
There is the menu of the day and the à la carte menu and as soon as you read them, you immediately notice the very low prices. I took del crusted chicken with potatoes and the cost was 5€. The only sore point: don't go there if you are looking for calm.
