The area that I strongly recommend is the coastal strip of Nebrodi, one of the most important mountain ranges in Sicily, directly overlooking the Mediterranean and running from Tusa (Blue flag since 2015) in Tindari.

The beaches are characterized by pebbles and grainy sand, the sea embraces all shades of green and blue and in front you can admire the Aeolian Islands that on days of clear skies seem really close. Among the best places I point out Tusa, Capo D'Orlando, Brolo, Patti e Marinella di Tindari.
The things to do here are endless and if your intent is not to stay all day sunbathing and especially if you have a car available you can easily move. They are in fact easily accessible Taormina, as beautiful as it is expensive, the Alcantara Gorges, the Aeolian Islands thanks to the numerous ferries and hydrofoils that depart at any time, the sanctuary and the archaeological area of ​​Tindari, theEtna, Montalbano Elicona elected most beautiful village in Italy in 2015, and also Cefalù. In short, there is no time to get bored, not even in the evening, thanks to the numerous festivals, concerts and events that are organized in every town in the area, many of which are free.

On the seafront there are numerous restaurants offering dishes based on freshly caught fish at prices very affordable for everyone. But if you want something truly typical then move a little further inland to find many family-run restaurants offering garden products, cheeses and meats from their own production.
A Sinagra, right at the entrance to the Nebrodi park, is theOsteria il Tabacchino, a place with rather spartan furnishings and simple dishes, but with authentic, genuine flavors. Here I ate the best baked lamb with potatoes, so good that even today when I think about it my mouth is watering.
Ad Ucria there is the Keria restaurant, a very nice and nice place, very kind and welcoming staff and much more refined and refined food. Here, too, goodness is assured. Excellent meat, mixed starters with cheeses and many fresh vegetables, and desserts.
Finally a Ficarra there is the Il Boschetto restaurant, a very panoramic and quiet location (beautiful outdoor dining in the summer in the evening), with its fantastic mixed starters, pasta with porcini mushrooms and delicious meats. I recommend the grilled free-range chicken: I know it may sound trivial but believe me, you will feel like you've never eaten chicken!
