Saturday afternoon I'll be at Reggio Emilia and I decided to go to the opening of Mind Games - Museum Reloaded, an exhibition described as “A journey through objects to talk about mind, intelligence, psyche”. I point out this event because it seems really interesting for lovers of art, technology, for the curious and for those who want to have some fun.
The exhibition starts from four objects, material elements therefore, coming from the Civic Museums and the Panizzi Library in Reggio Emilia, from which paths are developed that exploit digital and immaterial techniques (such as 3D technologies, video installations, brain interface technology and anamorphosis) and that make interaction and dialogue with the public. This work stems from the idea of the "imaginary museum" as a virtual space and as a place to give life to objects removed from the classical museum context, so as to be able to look at them from different points of view and thanks to which one can enter the world of the mind, of thought and reason.
To intrigue you but not reveal anything more, here are the five sections in which the exposure develops:
In Perspective: reloading Piero Della Francesca
Talkin 'Heads: brain maps
In dream: soul and psychedelia of a statue
Probabilities: rereading of an Etruscan die
3D Portrait: 3D scanning and printing set at FabLab RE
Saturday 9 March there will be the inauguration of the exhibition, where a dance performance will also take place, at the Spazio Gerra (Piazza XXV Aprile 2, Reggio Emilia). The exhibition will then be open to visitors until April 14th.
