The new one inaugurated three days ago, on 27 July 2013 Trento Science Museum, MUSE. A project that is the result of many years and many efforts that is established in a brand new and super technological structure that bears the signature of Renzo Piano.
The inauguration lasted 24 hours, an intense marathon of events that wanted to celebrate this new approach to the world of science.
And yesterday the museum finally opened to the public. The building has a total area of ​​about 12.000 square meters, divided over 6 floors according to the themes. It is a eco-sustainable building, made of glass, wood and steel, which expands upwards around a central empty axis (called “big void”), which is also an exhibition space. Inside are in fact kept the taxidermized animals which come from the former Tridentine Museum of natural sciences.
The various areas are dedicated to nature, science, flora and fauna, biodiversity, dinosaurs and much more, all told in a fun way, thus leaving ample space for children as well as interactive stations where everyone, adults and less adults, can discover the " science "in first person. A new approach to science that now wants to meet people and especially young people, so that research never stops.
In addition there will also be a FabLab, a tropical greenhouse and an area dedicated to temporary exhibitions. The first of these will be dedicated to the history of the hand of man, to understand the why of the evolution of the human being, and will be called "The Hand - Arto, arte, artefatti".
The Muse is located in Trento in Corso del Lavoro e della Scienza 3. It is open from Tuesday to Friday from 10.00 to 18.00, while on Saturdays and holidays from 10.00 to 19.00 (the closed on Mondays).
The ticket to access it has a full cost of € 9,00, € 7,00 reduced, free for accompanied under 14s. In addition, there is also a family rate of € 18,00 for two parents and any number of children.
