Unfortunately, these days, the city of Orvieto has risen to the head of the news due to the flood that hit the city last November 12, causing substantial damage to the urban and economic fabric.
Ma Orvieto does not let down his guard and immediately raised his head to impose all his majesty inviting, among other things, to visit OFF - Orvieto Food Festival (from 6 al on December 9st) for four days dedicated to nourishment for the body and the mind, the pleasure of good food and good drinking, combined with cultural stimuli that take the form of exhibitions, theatrical performances and concerts by famous but also emerging artists.
And even to do so on purpose, the theme of this edition is "re-departures”, Because this is exactly what Orvieto needs, known all over the world for its city beauties such as the Duomo, one of the greatest examples of the Italian Gothic style, and the Pozzo di San Patrizio, a masterpiece of urban engineering.
In the rich program of OFF we also find: Sergio Caputo, Isabella Ferrari with Marco Travaglio in “Total Anesthesia”, Franca Valeri, Giorgio Faletti and Andrea De Carlo presenting their latest literary labors respectively.
Among the concerts-shows entirely free of charge we point out that of the Black Eye Dog (Friday 7 December, 21.00 pm) and the Supermarkets (Saturday 8 December, 21.00 pm) both at Palazzo del Capitano del Popolo.
Part of the proceeds from the other theatrical performances will be donated to the city of Orvieto to help it recover after the disastrous flood and kick off the re-departures!
