    I had been hungry for pizza for a while and after having made the rounds of the most famous (and all overcrowded) Rimini 'piadari' I folded up in the Padulli area, in Rimini, for a pizza all 'Tavern, room inside a beautiful country farmhouse. To my surprise I discover that they make pizza by the meter and looking closely, it was one of the places on the list to try.

    In the past it was known as the Osteria del Gallo Nero, and now the place has specialized precisely in pizzas by the meter. In the oven, strictly wood fired, two very busy pizza chefs including the owner Sonia. We eat outside after ordering a meter of pizza with three toppings of your choice and three medium beers.



    I am a pizza lover and I must say that it was very tasty, no complaints, although I prefer the high one. Maybe we could have chosen richer and less 'vegetable' fillings. The dough was very soft and low, a veil. Well, I don't want to open a dispute over high and low pizza (for heaven's sake, Italy is a country of 60 million coaches, pizza chefs, pilots, motorcyclists ...), mind you.

    The cost now, perhaps the sore point. 22 € for a meter of pizza it reminded me of the giant pizza of the Posada in Rimini, and of which I will tell you, but that of the nineties, where with 22 thousand lire you ate in six. I ate a meter of pizza in Naples with 14 euros, in Rome with 16 euros.

    For heaven's sake, the pizza is really good and cooked well, but given the cost, adding a little dough could only make it more 'consistent' and appreciable, but it's just a suggestion. Of course they communicate that their pizzas are known for their high digestibility, so much so that they can eat one meter. Well, I believe it.



    However, I would go back, also because we ate outside in a small covered garden, which we were desperately looking for just to avoid the home 'heat'.
