La celiac disease, gluten intolerance, increasingly widespread in both children and young adults, presents a growing trend. From this arises the need to also respond to the needs and tastes of those who must submit to these food restrictions. In the South the problem is faced little and often badly. Sometimes, however, some unsuspected locals present unexpected surprises.
This is how, going to the pizza restaurant "In the usual place" to Caserta, in via Vivaldi, behind the train station and a few steps from the University Center, I discover that they also offer pizzas for celiacs. I am surprised first of all because the area is not exactly a Saturday night nightlife, it is quiet and not too central, frequented more during the day than in the evening and I thought that going to dinner on Wednesdays in that restaurant I would be alone or almost. Instead it was full and people did not have time to get up from the table that immediately other people sat down.
A continuous coming and going of people, from kids, to engaged couples, to husbands and wives, to groups of friends up to happy families. Everyone there, to eat mostly pizza, although it also offers restaurant service. Excellent quality of products. Average prices, tending to the bottom. Impeccable, fast and accurate service. Plenty of cleanliness and courtesy. And, what's more, pizza for celiacs.
I could not find fault with this restaurant that I would dare to call "the Caserta gem you do not expect".
