Il Plaia Mapo Village di Ostuni is a three-star village where you can spend pleasant days with your family, but also as a couple, discovering the coast and the hinterland of Puglia. The village is located in Villanova, a hamlet of Ostuni, right on the coast and nearby are some of the most evocative cities of the Valle d'Itria.
Plaia Mapo Village: what to expect
Plaia Mapo Village is not very big, it feels like family during the stay, so much so that at the end of the holiday everyone calls each other by name. L'animation is really special, kids are very good at involving everyone, from adults to children with activities on the beach and in the pool, with evenings of fun, dancing or activities with guests, Beach Volleyball tournaments or games by the pool.
Entertainment and activities
The animation is not always present, thus leaving the possibility to those with small children who want to rest in the early afternoon to do so without too much noise.
From 16 pm, however, the activities begin and continue, more or less, until late in the evening. The two areas where we meet to have fun together, in the village, are the swimming pool and the area in front of the dining room.
On the beach however, especially in the morning, the entertainment is mostly present with games for children or aperitifs for adults late in the morning.
The snack and the village shop
Another thing that I liked, and that the little ones also liked, is the moment ofsnack, mid-morning and mid-afternoon. A fruit or dessert snack, a snack prepared by the kitchen of the Plaia Mapo Village with love and attention to the little ones.
Within the village there is also one shop with basic necessities for fun. Inflatables, life jackets, swimming caps (which are mandatory here), but also balls, games for children, bracelets and a line of t-shirts and sweatshirts, bracelets and bags created specifically for the Mapo Village, the holiday that leaves its mark.
The swimming pool for adults and children
La pool area is very big. The pool is open both in the morning and in the afternoon and the lifeguard is always present during opening hours.
For the little ones a separate area is reserved where, in one swimming pool with water less than one meter high, the little ones can play and have fun between water splashes and bomb dives.
The large pool, on the other hand, is deeper and is reserved for adults. All around the large swimming pool there are deck chairs and loungers for those who prefer to sunbathe without going to the beach.
Plaia Mapo Village: the restaurant
Il restaurant Plaia Mapo Village welcomes guests in the morning, lunch and dinner. All meals are served from 7.45am, 12.45pm and 19.45pm. Every day there are at least three first and three second courses and a great variety of appetizers and side dishes, all to be chosen from the buffet. The tables are well placed within the room that communicates with the village bar. In this way, those who want a coffee or a digestive after lunch or dinner, but also an ice cream, can take advantage of the proximity to finish the meal in style!
All drinks, from water (at room temperature, regenerated or sparkling) up to soft drinks are free and always available from the pantries found in the two bars in the village. Instead, for anyone who wants alcohol, coffee or soda by the glass, you need to have one prepaid and rechargeable card (with 5 € deposit) which can be done at the reception upon arrival.
Le guest houses they have the colors of Puglia: white and blue, perfect for sunny days. The apartments are simply furnished, comfortable and cleaned every day by the housekeeping service who sorts and sets up beds and bathrooms to make your holiday even more relaxing. Inside the houses there is air conditioning, television and hairdryer. The wifi in the facility is free and unlimited, just ask for the password at the reception and surf without limits.
Where it is
La location of the Plaia Mapo Village it is ideal for those who want to take a beach holiday, but also want to explore the surroundings of Puglia. In fact, a few km away (about 8) is the city of Ostuni, the famous white city, but also Polignano a Mare (about 30 km) and Monopoli, Alberobello, Martina Franca and Locorotondo. There is no shortage of excursions to do, if you manage to get up from the sea view bed offered on the beach in front of the hotel (500 meters on foot) which is still served by a shuttle every morning.
