Un 4 star tourist village on southern coast of Sicily, in the territory of Licata, in the province of Agrigento. And the Serenusa Village, of the Bluserena chain.
After being at the Torreserena in Puglia and Serena Majestic in Abruzzo, I also spent 15 days in the Sicilian facility.
The village looks like one terrace overlooking the sea with the rooms in the innermost part, then the square and the large swimming pool on two levels and finally a descent that leads to the beach.
The structure of the Serenusa Village
The Serenusa Village consists of 490 rooms divided into 8 units, a central restaurant on two floors, a restaurant / grill on the beach, two large swimming pools, an amphitheater for evening shows, a fitness area, a series of sports fields and a wellness center.
Together with the room, the table in the restaurant and the umbrella on the beach are assigned, to be able to move freely and be sure to never remain standing.
In the reception there is also a doctor with outpatient service and 24h availability.
Services
The Bluserena type clientele is made up of families with minor children all traveling together.
Precisely for this reason it has oriented its services to make the holiday as fun as possible.
Children, from 3 years old, can be entrusted to the miniclub - the Serenino - which will involve them in many activities.
Children aged 11 to 14 meet in SerenUp while the older ones up to 17 can attend the SerenHappy. For them a program of activities aimed at making groups and getting to know each other.
Left with their children, parents can relax on the beach, choose to attend a sporting activity or be pampered by the hands of the girls of the wellness center.
As for sport, you can choose between archery, tennis, sailing, windsurfing, swimming, soccer or beach volleyball. A fully equipped gym is also available.
The football school is dedicated to children.
The animation
You can't miss them, they are everywhere and take care of you and your children.
Present from morning to evening, the boys and girls of the animation are ready to organize both card and sports tournaments, to make you dance and have fun both on the beach and in the disco, create a different show every night in the theater and amaze with their appearances.
They are the ones who stay with children and young people and who organize sports lessons.
The restaurant
In the central restaurant the buffet service for breakfast, lunch and dinner amazes with the variety of courses, water and wine are on tap.
At lunch and dinner the chefs perform in showcooking, completing the dishes directly in the dining room.
In the evening they are often organized theme nights, like the Sicilian one, with traditional Sicilian dishes and products.
In the restaurant / grill on the beach, you have a fixed menu that changes every day, both for lunch and dinner, but it is necessary to book at least the day before.
Particular attention is paid to food intolerances, specifying the absence of gluten, milk and eggs on special slates next to each course.
Outside the village
Being in Licata in the province of Agrigento, one cannot fail to visit the Valley of the Temples, famous all over the world. By moving away a little you can arrive Piazza Armerina, with its Roman Villa Unesco heritage oa Ragusa and Noto.
Without forgetting Etna or Taormina, but here we are talking about distances over 150km.
How to get there
The Serenusa Village is located on the coast road between Gela and Licata. Those who decide to arrive by car can safely leave it in the shade of the photovoltaic system that covers the entire private parking lot.
Those arriving by plane can choose to land in Comiso, Catania or Palermo and book a transfer also through the hotel booking.
A village that is worth visiting, both for its structure and for the wealth of culture that surrounds it.
