La Campania it has not "escaped" the series of initiatives linked to # Invasionidigitali, born for the dissemination and enhancement of our artistic and cultural heritage through the use of the internet and social media. In a country that lives (or should live) on culture and tourism. Protagonist, Cilento, with 10 invasions, but also Salerno, the Amalfi and Sorrento coasts, Irpinia, Benevento, Caserta and even Naples. Nobody wanted to miss the appeal. As in all of Italy from below, anyone could organize an invasion, admiring their beauties.
Naples will be the protagonist on April 25, at 11.00, With the 'invasion of the Capodimonte Museum in Naples (which I called #capemonte, i.e. the Neapolitan translation of Capodimonte).
The Capodimonte Museum, is one of the most beautiful museums in Naples and Italy, with a collection to rival the Louvre, in fact it has an extraordinary collection from the Farnese, to the Borgias, to Neapolitan painting, to the nineteenth century up to the section on contemporary art. Among other things, it can boast of being inside one of the few Neapolitan green lungs. Not surprisingly it was one of the historic residences of the Bourbons in Naples.
Not to be missed, inside the Museum, is The Flagellation of Christ by Caravaggio, on the second floor, Titian's Danae, the Cradle Room of the Royal Apartment, but also the Madonna with Child and two Angels by Botticelli. Extraordinary works that give prestige to the Museum. As well as the presence, within the contemporary art collection, of Andy Warhol's Vesuvius. Also not to be missed is the Park in front of the Museum, where you can meet to run or just relax, surrounded by greenery, without hearing the horn of cars and mopeds. The full entrance ticket for the Museum is € 7,50, while the reduced € 3,75. The advice is to reach it by public transport, given the difficulty of parking nearby.
The occasion of the #invasionidigitali to visit a large museum is hopefully just a pretext to recover more and more appeal towards locals and others. This is the link of the invasion: http://capemonte.eventbrite.it/.
