A Milan it is possible to visit a museum dedicated entirely to children: it is the MUBA, set up inside the Rotonda della Besana, a historic building well known by the Milanese.
It is a cultural but also playful space, with artistic projects, paths for families and school groups where children can experiment with shapes and colors, touch objects, color, explore and have fun.
What was missing, in a city that offers a great variety of exhibitions and museums, an exclusive space for the very young, a point where they can be absolute protagonists and where they can learn in a pleasant way.
The visit to the exhibitions takes place only with a companion, so I suggest checking the times and availability on the website.
During the weekend they come workshops are also organized where families can play with waste materials and create original shapes and objects, or, the little ones, have the opportunity to play on a tactile mat that allows them to explore and learn about materials with all their senses. There is also an area dedicated to disguises using fabrics of various colors, to create exciting adventures.
Inside the Rotonda there is a bookshop where to buy particular and original books, and a bistro with special menus and particularly attentive to the small users of the structure.
If you are looking for a new place for a birthday party or for the summer campus, this is also possible at the new museum.
Outside the building, there is a quiet and safe space where you can stay outdoors, surrounded by a beautiful eighteenth-century circular-shaped portico that isolates the place from the surrounding Milan, from the traffic and noise of the city which, too often , it is only considered for business, fashion and design and not very child-friendly.
This new project instead offers the possibility for families to have a meeting point and a recreational / educational center suitable for everyone.
