Sunday 11 August is the second day of our blog tour in #AlbeinMalga in Trentino, but it starts the night before in Zeni hut, Pezze Alte locality. It is imperative not to miss the sunrise! So, once the alarm is set at 5.30, the sun peeps out at 6:28 minutes as it comes out of the mountain ranges in front of the hut, thus giving us a second show from #AlbeinMalga. Always Mr. Bino, aboard his huge 4 × 4, accompanies us downstream after a hearty breakfast made of milk and coffee, strudel, yoghurt cake and a crepe stuffed with forest fruit jam. We preferred to abound knowing that we had to face a Nordic Walking test as scheduled.
Valeria dell 'awaits usApt S.Mart that guides us from Primiero to Chalet del Doch by Mrs. Clelia. We are talking about a charming hut in the middle of the forests of the Lozen Valley, a structure that was inaugurated almost five years ago .. Clelia's husband shows us a chalet that to define 5 stars is to diminish it. Wood and bio-architecture, almost zero impact on the environment, attention to detail, a torrential water source of pure water (approved by the province of Trento) that reaches the chalet, regenerating peace and silence. Wild animals? In quantity, Clelia tells us, and by now they have adopted a rate that knows what time to show up every day.
The occasion is also to try new shoes kindly offered by La Sportiva, a Trentino company of technical footwear for trekking and Nordic walking. Accompanied by Heidi, professional trainer of Nordic Walking, learn the five basic rules of this sport, let's start with a great career in the middle of the forests of Lozen Valley, among firs, red maples, huge anthills, mushrooms, ferns and streams of spring water to cross on wooden bridges.
Our walking it was exciting and my traveling companions also did their best to transform a tourist walk into a sporting competition. Blueberry plants everywhere, as well as wild strawberries ... but it is a pity that someone obviously preceded us. Our destination is the Calaita lake, and we arrive after an hour and a half, on the other hand our guide showed us the names of the surrounding mountains, the healing properties of some plants and how not to photograph all this?
Arriving at Lake Calaita we understand that it is a rather renowned tourist destination. The number of parked cars and buses is numerous, as well as the Belvedere Calaita hotel restaurant on the lake is crowded with hungry customers. What's beautiful about the lake? The fact that on the clearest and clearest days the Pale di San Martino are reflected on the surface of the lake, creating a double photographic effect.
Once the shoes have been removed, Clelia from Chalet nel Doch is always waiting for us to take us to the last gastronomic stop of our blog tour #AlbeinMalga. Thus we arrive at the Agritur Maso Santa Romina, a typical Trentino restaurant very well known in the Lozen Valley. If the day before we were excited by the spectacle of the Pale from the terrace of Baita Zeni, we do the same from the Maso Santa Romina, with a Lozen valley dense with fir trees of an impressive green.
Lunch is served to us on the panoramic terrace of the farm, and the spectacle of the Trentino forests, the fresh air combined with the exquisite dishes that are served to us, confirm why Trentino is such a popular region and destination.
