Old Perusia it was not recommended to me by anyone but wandering on Sunday for Perugia I found it between one alley and another. What does it have compared to the others? it's a place without too many pretensions, low cost and you eat well. Up TripAdvisor e 2 Twine the reviews are quite conflicting with each other, those who say they would never go back, those who say that you eat very well. If you are looking for a low cost place in the center of Perugia, in my opinion, the Vecchia Perusia is not bad also because as a local it has a bit of history.
The venue is of Frank Banana, a very famous boxer at the time, so I also read why I don't really understand boxing. There story hangs on the walls,
The local is a bit small, it is not true that you cannot book (as I have read in some reviews) because it is the first thing the lady asked us when entering the restaurant. There are a few tables, about ten at the most and the cooking is pretty fast. The menu is handwritten and i prices are great, the only thing covered is of 2€, small note that sometimes escapes :)
What did I eat. To try the home cooking, I took... everything that was "of the house", then perusia starter and perusia first. The appetizer consists of a couple of bruschetta with very good mushrooms and meat, while the first (pictured above) is a plate of penne with cream, sausage and mushrooms. The restaurant is located in Via Ulisse Rocchi 9, in the center of Perugia.
