Villa Gregoriana in Tivoli, FAI heritage




    Villa Gregoriana a Tivoli it was born more or less in 1826 when a frightening wave of flood caused the waters of the Aniene river to overflow. The government of the Papal State intervenes and at the behest of Pope Gregory XVI the course of the Aniene is diverted by creating a grand waterfall. From 1 April to 15 October it is open from 10 to 18.30, from 16 October to 29 November from 10 to 14.30 on weekdays, while on holidays from 10 to 16. The ticket price and of 5€ unless you are a member of the FAI, in which case the entrance is free, children pay € 2.50
