Weekend on Lake Garda: Sirmione
It had been a long time that I had been planning a romantic getaway with my love and here is finally the opportunity, a weekend everything for us a Sirmione.
We had booked a room at the villa rosa hotel, not very far from the historic center.
We arrive in the morning around 9, we leave the car in the hotel parking and we set off to visit the town.
The impact with Sirmione is very favorable, there are many tourists and things to see, we immediately dive into the visit of the historic center.
Sirmione is a town built on the tip of a narrow peninsula that stretches towards the center of the Lake Garda and almost everywhere wonderful views of the lake open up, sometimes suddenly, and we were also favored by a wonderful time.
We take the train that will take us to grottoes of catullus, the remains of an ancient Roman villa on the far promontory; it is really very nice to walk in this place, the view is amazing and we take a lot of photos, we go out when it is time for lunch and, waiting for the arrival of the train that will take us back to the center, we eat a cold dish in a nearby bar .
Lake Garda where to eat well and spend littleWe complete the visit of Sirmione with a jump to the Scaligero castle and a very good fruit salad bought in a kiosk near the gates of the historic center.
We reluctantly return to our hotel to take the car that will take us to the second stage of our trip: the Security Park.
The park is simply wonderful it is truly romantic to walk in the colorful paths of this huge " garden“, To better visit it we rent an electric car so we can enjoy every corner of this little paradise without getting tired.
In the evening, tired we go back to the hotel, for dinner we ask for advice, however there is only the embarrassment of choice just cross the street and there are a couple of restaurants without even having to take the car, we naturally choose the one with the terrace overlooking the lake and we are served a delicious dinner by candlelight.
The following day, after an abandoned breakfast, we decide to spend the whole day at garda thermal park, it is divinely a wonderful day and I assure you that it is extremely relaxing.
17 We spend our day practically always immersed in these lakes where the water is constantly at a temperature of 37 degrees, between small waterfalls and whirlpools scattered almost everywhere, eating a sandwich in a hurry at the Park bar to enjoy these delights as much as possible .
In the evening, after having postponed the departure as much as possible, we get into the car and, satisfied, we return to Genoa.
