A pleasant and refreshing break from daily commitments, a coveted shiver of cold on a hot summer day, the sweet conclusion of a dinner perhaps walking under the stars, between ancient buildings and modern situations ... in short, a gelato! Whether you are passing through for a tourist visit or immersed in city life, for study or for work, among the many proposals for a sweet and fresh break, here are four that we would like to recommend.
1. Ancient Ice Cream Maker
Just outside the historic center, a short distance from the train station, we find an exquisite reason to take a stroll away from the city walls. Ingredients DOC e IGP give the products of this ice cream shop an intense and genuine flavor. In addition, the skill of the master ice cream maker gives them a creaminess that will make you want to try another one right away! Here too they are offered granite, milkshake, yogurt e brioches-ice cream. Located at an often busy intersection, it offers some seating but the advice is perhaps to enjoy a cone while walking towards the center.
2. The King of Ice Cream
Just before entering the city via the San Martino bridge, we find this walking ice cream parlor under the portico. Il Re del Gelato makes the creaminess and freshness of its products its strong point. Wide choice of ice creams, milkshakes and yogurt at prices in line with other establishments. Sympathy of the staff and some objects vintage including a Vespa on display will make a short stop pleasant to savor the delights on offer. The seating is scarce, but being at the gates of Treviso, why not enjoy a cone or a milkshake walking towards the historic center, rich in monuments, attractions and suggestive city views?
3. Dassiè
Located in Calmaggiore, the main street of Treviso, between Duomo e Piazza dei Signori, this takeaway ice cream parlor intrigues from the first impact. A small and well-kept environment, decorated with plants and light colors, welcomes customers who can choose their sweet snack from about thirty flavors. The proposals range from drinking cups and cones to granitas and milkshakes freshly prepared with ingredients that are always fresh and almost all biological. Alongside the classic flavors of fruit and cream, there are original creations and for those who want a yogurt there are numerous combinations. The artisan ice cream shop also pays attention to the nutritional aspect of its products, offering a break that is both delicious and healthy.
4. La Romana
Practically in front of the Duomo, where the density of ice cream shops reaches important numbers. La Romana stands out from the competition for the extreme care taken in the production of its ice creams, for the variety of flavors offered. It also offers some precautions such as the whipped Cream made by hand, the possibility of filling the bottom of the cone with various types of chocolate and having the “jewel” decorated with grains of your choice. All included in the displayed cost, without surcharges. The prices are slightly higher than the average it is true, but the quality, quantity and details make you postpone on a few tens of cents which are undoubtedly well spent. Be patient though, because there is often a queue!
