November in my opinion is the best time for White truffle and to visit the various festivals all over Italy. There are not a few, some started in mid-October and already finished, so where to go in this period?
Surely everyone knows the most famous fairs of Acqualagna and Alba, but I would like to list others, perhaps smaller but still interesting. I look at three regions: the Marche, Piedmont and my region, Emilia Romagna. As I explained to you in the Marche it is very important acqualagna, where the renowned fair of truffle now in its 48th edition and which will end on 10 November. You still have a few days like this to go and visit the rich program of the event, otherwise you will find another one Urbania (8-9-10 November), always remaining in the Marche.
Naturally it is the queen of the national scene Alba in Piedmont, with its famous festival dedicated to the white truffle, now in its own 83a edition (www.fieradeltartufo.org). You still have two weekends, until 17, to go and visit it. Smaller, but worthy of mention are the festivals organized in province of Alexandria where, for example, we find the 46th truffle fair in Murisengo, Sunday 10 and Sunday 17 November. Over 100 selected exhibitors of food, wine and handicraft products. Then to San Sebastiano Curone you will find a similar fair on Sunday 17 and Sunday 24 November, the weekend from 22-24 November also to Acqui Terme.
Even in Emilia Romagna the festivals dedicated to the most precious tuber of the undergrowth exist and are many, for example in Cusercoli Civitella di Romagna with the Bidente white truffle festival, Sunday 10 and Sunday 17 November.
Or a Sant'Agostino of Ferrara, with the seventh edition of the Tuber Magnatum Pico, in the next three weekends of November.
Let's not forget the 23rd fair of Fragno truffle in Calestano di Parma or the important national truffle fair a Savigno on the Bolognese hills, now in its 30th edition.
Honestly, there is plenty of choice. I already know where to go next Sunday, do you?
