It wasn't easy to find it, I'll tell you right away. At 13.30pm yesterday I was desperate for a place to eat something. Classic lunch break on the fly. After three holes in the water with closed rooms, here we find a sign that reads: Osteria Acquolina. We are a Viserba of Rimini. Luckily it's open.
The restaurant is nice, spacious and with wooden tables in a decidedly rustic style, like the chairs. In an instant they wax the menu with a choice of four different first courses like cappelletti in broth, lasagna, cannelloni and macaroni alla boscaiola. I choose the latter. Main courses of meat such as roasts, rabbit in porchetta, grilled meat and more. I take the rabbit in porchetta, a side of baked potatoes, piadina, bread, half a liter of Sangiovese and water.
Let's be clear, it is a tavern that has a typically Romagna cuisine, no nouvelle cuisine. I would also have stopped at the first one, definitely abundant, but I couldn't look bad in front of my colleague.
All good and strictly homemade, except the macaroni pasta, and that's okay. Quick to serve, and this is another plus point. Next time I will do as my diner and take the cappelletti in broth. Once served, they were very inviting, in fact. Just to make sure we do not miss anything we also have a coffee, in spite of the crisis. So they offer us a good one as well donut freshly baked. The time has come to pay. "They are 13 euros each". Music to our ears. If you have difficulty finding it, know that the tavern overlooks the Riviera sport fishing lake.
