Often while working atVenice airport, I witnessed scenes of great confusion on the part of the passengers, at times undoubtedly embarrassing, at other times by pure desperation regarding the different low cost airlines operating in airports.
Let's clarify a couple of things first: the official airport of Venice is Marco Polo and is located in the city of Tessera about half an hour from Venice, Canova airport, on the other hand, is that of Treviso, although I know very well that he is made to appear as the second in Venice. It can be quite annoying to confuse the two airports and miss your flight for a stupid oversight, so beware.
Another thing to specify: Ryanair does NOT depart and does NOT land in Venice except in extraordinary cases such as fog or storm over Treviso. So let's sort out the ideas and see which are actually the low cost airlines that can be taken from Venice.
