THEAntica Trattoria da Tito is one of the historic restaurants of Firenze, opened its doors almost a century ago, in 1913. It is located at number 112 / r of Via San Gallo, near Piazza della Libertà, an area usually less known by tourists.
The restaurant is characterized by a rustic and essential environment. At the entrance, you cannot fail to notice the photos of the celebrities, the newspaper clippings and the signs with their mythical phrases and the invitation to have fun. Inside, in fact, the goliardia and, as suggested by them, if you are too serious, go elsewhere. The atmosphere is therefore very convivial and informal.
In menu there are the great classics of the cuisine of the lily city. The dishes are simple, prepared following the recipes handed down by grandmothers and the delicacies have the flavors of the past. Good selection of white and red wines. To report the chopping board with Tuscan croutons and raw ham, le pappardelle with wild boar and Florentine, served not well cooked.
Combining the pleasure of excellent food with fun at Tito's is possible for both lunch and dinner, except on Sundays, their closing day. Reservations are always recommended.
