In the wake of a tradition consolidated for five years now, Palazzo Marino in Milan it hosts two masterpieces from Louvre for a special free exhibition at the turn of the Christmas holidays.
Since on December 1st the sinuous sculpture of Love and Psyche stanti by Antonio Canova flies from the Parisian halls to the Milanese ones, where it can be admired until 13 January in the Sala Alessi. At his side, a painting by Francois Gérard on the same theme, for a double interpretation of the ancient myth in a neoclassical key.
Open to lunch break until 19.30 pm every day and until 22.30 pm on Thursdays and Saturdays, the small exhibition is a must to refresh your eyes from the frantic Christmas shopping among the thousands around Piazza Duomo, where the large Christmas tree has just been mounted.
Please note: However: if the success of the previous exhibitions of Georges de la Tour, Caravaggio and Tiziano is replicated, expect long queues in Piazza della Scala. Arm yourself with a little patience, it will be worth it.
