Via Faenza is one of the liveliest streets of Firenze: located between the Santa Maria Novella station and the San Lorenzo market, it is a continuous bustle of workers, tourists, students and languages, dialects, colors, smells mix in a unique visual concert of its kind. Coming from via Nazionale, you pass several typical restaurants and kebab dealers, trinkets and Florentine leather shops. In the end, a little blue shop, that it is not clear what it sells.
A sign announces very fresh smoothies, the shop windows show fabrics and jewels, fountains in blue mosaics refer to an oriental atmosphere. Here we are at tough, a bookshop, shop, Moroccan restaurant.
The premises are not large, but everything is taken care of in the smallest detail and the tables are mixed with the goods to be sold. A laboratory with glass walls is visible to see "live" the creation of jewelry and various objects. A special corner is reserved for couples seeking intimacy: the tables are hidden by light curtains.
Consulted the menu, which also varies according to seasonal products, you are spoiled for choice. I ate the best Fish cous cous I've ever tasted, but also the dishes of chicken tagine are unmissable. The portions are really generous and for this reason I recommend sharing and taking a nice Moroccan mint tea as a "digestive", served in a silver teapot.
Un unique restaurant of its kind, for those who want to try something different.
