Eager to eat on the first hill of Rimini? Maybe you are looking for a typical Romagna trattoria that combines quality and price very well?
Well, here you are then Squadrani, in via San Martino in Venti. Leaving from Rimini, the restaurant is located at the end of a climb with an intersection that would allow you to continue up to Verucchio along the internal roads or turn towards Sant'Ermete in the direction of the Marecchiese state road.
We stopped for lunch, and it is possible to wander with the gaze to the sea. Of course, the menu that is proposed to you is that of the Romagna and Rimini tradition. It is a historic place, so much so that it began its activity in the early fifties as a simple refreshment for the workers.
Strictly homemade pasta, so I opt for a hearty dish of tagliatelle with ragu. Very tasty. Some side dish like baked potatoes e gratin tomatoes and the inevitable piadina. The final price is very low and it's a pity to have to go back to work, otherwise I would have made the complete menu including dessert. Will be for another time.
It is the right place for some reunion with friends and in summer the outdoor terrace is ideal for enjoying the coolness of the hills and watching the lights on the coast, perhaps after an intense sunny day at the sea.
